Competitions

BalletCNJ has traveled around the country and the world to participate in major competitive ballet competitions, such as Prix de Lausanne (Switzerland), Youth America Grand Prix, Miami International Ballet Competition, Dance Prix de New York, and Universal Ballet Competition. These competitions give our students the exposure to compete against other training ballet dancers their age as well as the opportunity to take masterclasses with some of Ballet's leading professionals.

Eligibility

In order to participate and attend competitions with BalletCNJ, students must be at least 10 years old and be involved in one of BalletCNJ's Conservatory Programs, Professional Mastery or Elite Professional Mastery Programs. In order to be accepted into these programs, students must audition or be invited by a BalletCNJ director. In addition, students must be taking the required amount of Ballet, Pointe, Conditioning, Character, and Elective classes offered at their level during the weekly schedule.
